I am continually amazed by the folks that our Father brings together to explore and to steward his creation. Many of the faces are very familiar having journeyed together for many years, and many faces were new this year. Community is developed when we are “on mission” together as sort of an extended family…and it helps when we share times to pray, read God’s word and eat together. From my perspective, the picture is nearly complete when throughout the week, our full-time field crew removes autumn olive, harvests the seed of big bluestem, scatters yellow coneflower seed, and conducts prescribed fires; and then our faithful group of volunteer stewards gathers to do the very same on Saturdays! Together we continue to take care of our Lord’s creation where we live…always with an eye on the One who loves all that he has made and promises to rescue all his creation.
Your commitment allows us to continue our mission to build communities where creation is kept and to keep creation so that community may be restored.
Together, we are a witness to the goodness of material creation and to the restoration of all things when Christ returns.
Celebrating the wonder of God in creation,
